skin cancer screening
skin cancer is one of the most common and dangerous tumour diseases of our time. if it is detected early the chances for complete recovery are high. during my preventative medical examination, the entire skin surface undergoes a digital dermoscopy examination. using computer-supported photo documentation (video dermoscopy), each individual pigment is documented in detail. this allows for any anomalies to be recognised during later examinations, and treatment to be initiated immediately.
there are several methods available in order to treat skin cancer:
– microscope-controlled surgery
– photodynamic therapy
– modern creams
– curettage (surface scrapping without suture)
– cryotherapy (freezing)
